dont buy the contacts online. You have to pay shipping or the cost is calculated in if you buy online. Best place to buy contacts is at a supermarket "club" like Costco, Sams club, BJs wholesale club, etc. You DO NOT have to be a member to use their optical shop (to buy contacts).
All you have to do is bring in a prescription from a doctor. First see if your health insurance covers eye exams (if you have insurance). Sometimes with insurance you have to pay about 30 bucks extra for contact lense exam after the eye exam is covered by the insurance.

Places like Walmart and Sears do eye exams and their prices probably arent that bad.

I get mine from a street vendor just across the border in Mexico. I get a year's supply for 150 pesos. As far as I know the quality is quite good. Driving back to the States I only had two accidents.

i found that at wal mart u can get them for cheaper than other places.
